We’re lucky that they shot 18-31 on free throws.

    Exciting finish.

I have to admit, I was pessimistic about our chances of winning.

For those who tuned in late, we led nearly the whole game. Texas State had the lead only a couple times, and only by 1 or 2 points. They grabbed it back again late though, and then surged ahead to what seemed as though it might be an insurmountable lead. Our kids have heart though. Did all last year, and this year is no different. And btw, Texas State has struggled at the line for at least the last couple years, so we weren't really lucky they shot 18 of 31. That's not far from par for the course for them. Blount had like 23 points for them though, and he was never really a factor for them before, so that was really the surprise. It seemed as though he single-handedly kept them in the game. There was one point where he scored 7 or 8 consecutive points for them.

I could definitely tell that we were missing Rodriguez's presence in the middle. Hope we'll find someone to step up for us as the season progresses.
