This is going across social media now. Our athletic facilities getting blasted and so is Hickey

current students, former athletes, parents of athletes, etc.

seriously this can't go on much longer, we have a 2.5 million population & growing, only FBS school in the city, it's getting very embarrassing. The conversations need to start ASAP.

Here's a crazy idea: We cut our baseball program and replace it with men's soccer. Park West is already getting the most funding, and then we can focus on a new basketball/volleyball facility without also trying to juggle improvements for baseball.

He also supports building as many apartments as possible around UTSA. I don't like the idea of a college slum.

Yea thats too crazy. We just need to stop doing shit half ass, Park West is done half ass & never used. They need to start a serious discussion about getting new baseball and basketball digs. If they want to stay in FBS football & CUSA, as well as move forward in the future then it's in their best interest.

I have a few questions, where does the soccer team and track and field teams play and compete if Park West isn't being used?

And also, since when do we need to have a great baseball facility to be an FBS football school?

These should be common sense answers. You don't need a GREAT field. I drive by West everyday, 2 times a day to work from work. Soccer practices on campus and track is on campus as well. Again, it's rarely used. The current baseball field is below standards of where we need to be, if that needs explaining I don't get it.

So does it rarely get used or does it never get used? Which one is it?

About 5% out of the year. So in between never & rarely.

7 times for women's soccer & 7 times for mens soccer. Very few for track, less than 5.
