    ok guys I'm a little worried, I've heard a lot of players are hurt right now, any news??

    I am not sure if you saw it or not but the 2017 class was announced.

    Geonte Jackson was listed as #20 on Perfect Games 2016 top 100 college seniors list. Very cool.

    "UTSA head baseball coach Jason Marshall announced Friday that Reid Ryan, the president of business operations for the Houston Astros, will be the keynote speaker for his program's annual First Pitch Banquet, which is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6, at the H-E-B University Center Ballroom on the Main Campus.

    General admission is $75 per seat and dress is business casual. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for a social hour prior to the scheduled program, which is scheduled to begin at 6:45 p.m. The First Pitch Banquet is held each year to raise funds for the UTSA baseball program. The event will include player introductions, academic and athletics awards presentation, video highlights and words from head coach Jason Marshall."

    Lets put it this way. This went from being a really good season to I hope we finish in the top 8. Injuries are mounting up and some of the names were big contributors last year.

    UTSA tabbed sixth in Conference USA Preseason Poll

    IRVING — Conference USA announced the results of its 2016 baseball preseason poll on Wednesday and UTSA was selected to finish sixth in the vote of the league’s head coaches.The Roadrunners, 33-25 overall and 17-13 in C-USA play last spring, returns 17 players from last season, including all-conference performers Trent Bowles and Chance Kirby, in addition to 18 newcomers. Bowles also recognized as a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American last year, which was the program’s seventh such honoree.Earning the unanimous vote as league favorite was Rice. The Owls have won either the regular season or tournament championship in each of the last 10 years. Rice’s Blake Fox was designated as the C-USA Preseason Pitcher of the Year.Florida Atlantic was selected runner-up and is followed by Southern Miss, FIU and Old Dominion to round out the top five. In the bottom half, Middle Tennessee was selected to finish seventh, followed by UAB, Western Kentucky, Charlotte, Louisiana Tech and Marshall.UTSA will open the 2016 campaign at the friendly confines of the Bird Bath on Feb. 19 when it hosts Connecticut in a three-game series.

    About 3 weeks ago this would have been a huge slap in the face. The Runners should/would have been a top 3 finisher in the conference. Recent losses for various reasons have me really down in the dumps right now. I guess the good news is the team will be loaded next year and could easily have the best outfield in the country!!
