I just finished part II (a good way to spend a morning while home sick).

It seems like Sean still has NFL dreams. I hope he gets his shot.

You saw a good example of the zone read on the Kerry Thomas TD. Morgan was on the outside in single coverage, the safety shaded to Morgan when the ball was hiked and Kerry Thomas was wide open in the middle for the score. In passing plays Morgan should always be the first look. If he is in solo coverage get him the ball, if not find the guy running the slant or the post in the middle.

This is all assuming Morgan is not ask to stay in and block, the route tree is such that a slant and post are part of the play call and the QB absolutely does not know how to make pre-snap reads.

Also, making a single player your first read truly limits an offense, too many factors in play to make a singular player a first read. Your first read is usually dictated by the play call and the routes associated with the play. If, Morgan is running a deep post and Grubb is running a quick out on the short side if the field, route time and distance would not have you wait for Morgan to get into his deep post, Grubb would have run out of room and his route was useless.

Just saying that your analysis is extremely over simplified, Im down with Morgan getting as many or more targets than anyone but he can't just be WR 1 every play.
