The only comment I have for part 2 is regarding the recruiting concerns. I agree that we don't need to make a big deal of it at this point. In fact, there are two reasons other universities like Texas State will be farther along than we are. One reason is that they have more seniors. And for the 2nd reason, the argument can be made that we might just be more selective in whom we choose, meaning the process will be a bit slower. We had a 100% graduation rate last year, so maybe we're making a greater effort to recruit true student athletes and not just anyone with football talent.

There are P5s who certainly are more selective than we are in whom they go after (the Stanfords, Notre Dames, etc. of the world) who are certainly far ahead of us in recruiting, but programs like that recruit themselves and have waiting lists of guys hoping they'll get in there. In terms of G5, I think we do a damn good job of recruiting given that we're in our 5th year, and given that we only go after intelligent, coachable young men.

Great show. I did enjoy it on the ride home from work yesterday and then finished it on the ride to work this morning.

I'm not terribly concerned about our record for the first four games. But, I am concerned about how we get through it has far as health. Would be nice to get through it relatively injury free and full of experience that will carry us through conference play.

UTEP is a very important game. Not only will it help set the tone for the start of conference play but we really need some redemption from the game last year where we experienced our worst defeat ever. (Probably worst play by us ever also.)

Rice would be a nice win but I have no reason at this point to think we have a better shot at it than any other time. If we were playing them earlier in the season I think a win against them would be good for us as far as publicity because they play several well known teams. (Army, Baylor, UT)

I'm not a fan of LaTech. I'm not interested in being "rivals" with them. It always surprises me how many people think they would be a good rival. I've even seen some UNT fans say that of them.

Speaking of UNT...for some reason I'm not particularly worried about the outcome of that game. "Been there, done that"??? Of course I want to beat them. I want to beat everybody. But it just doesn't seem as important as beating UTEP or Rice.

Recruiting....I barely follow it. It excites some guys....to me it's full of disappointment.

CAL, Digi and Scotty did a great job. Thanks.
