    The new baseball had a significant impact on the increase in home runs last season. I got the graphic below from the NCAA.

    It will be interesting to see if teams move away from the small ball that seemed to proliferate after the introduction of BBCOR bats. Personally, I am happy with this change. It brings back the long ball game without going ridiculously overboard like the BESR bat era. It's a good balance.
