Anyways, yeah if you remember this guy you were born before the 80's.
Does anyone remember the "We want pro ball" rally , in an attempt to try to get a pro football organization here? Gunslingers time frame.

It was on an add on the side of the webpage of one of my email accounts.

I find Flo strangely alluring. As does many others apparently.

I currently live in a small town Crystal City, TX, which is about 115 miles SW of San Antonio. In Fall during the football season, we have a Pee Wee league consisting of several teams from neighboring towns. The flag football league which uses college football logos and colors, had one that used the UTSA roadrunner logo and colors. I thought this was really cool and unexpected. My nephew plays for the Tarheels and I showed up in my UTSA gear and they happened to be playing the UTSA team. My bad.

Last month I went on a vacation to San Diego.

I was wearing my UTSA football shirt while at the zoo one day, and out of nowhere in hear people yelling "Go Runners", I looked around and saw 2 people giving me the BirdsUp sign... it made my day.

Later on that day, someone asked me about my shirt, he had gone to UT-Austin years ago and was surprised we had a football team now.

I was in Victoria a few weeks ago. Victoria is about 2 hours southwest of San Antonio. I saw at least 3 people around town wearing UTSA gear. For such a small city I was surprised at how many I saw in just a day.

I have a Runners license plate holder on my car.
I own a turbocharged Mini Cooper S and it infuriates the hell out of the bobcat faithful in their kias when I cut them off or ignore their pleas to cut in line. Of course these are rare occurances but when they happen my heart smiles.

He used to say BOO!!! and put his hat on with the word BOO! for those moments when he was displeased with bad calls, scores, etc.
