Southland Announces Men's Basketball Preseason Polls

UTSA, which won the 2011 Southland Conference Tournament and earned the league's first win in the NCAA tournament since 2006, was the pick to win the West Division in both the coaches' and sports information directors preseason polls. The Roadrunners welcome back 74 percent of their scoring and 79 percent of their rebounding from last year's squad that won 20 games for the first time in 19 seasons. A pair of former Southland freshmen of the year - junior guard Melvin Johnson III and sophomore forward Jeromie Hill - headline the list of returning Roadrunners.
